Tessa McSwain, M.A. | Owner + Strategist
With more than a decade of experience that spans advertising agency, nonprofit, higher education and small business work, Tessa is an experienced digital marketer. She founded Fablefox Marketing in 2017 out of her passion for helping businesses of all sizes understand and reach their audiences with clever, creative, digital communication solutions.
Tessa received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder where she studied strategic advertising along with technology, art and media. After beginning her career at a digital marketing agency, she transitioned into higher education as assistant director for marketing and communication for the CU-Boulder Office of Undergraduate Admissions. After pioneering social media and e-marketing communications efforts for new student recruitment, Tessa moved to Hawaii to continue working in nonprofit marketing at National Tropical Botanical Garden on Kauai as the organization's first marketing manager.
Tessa also holds a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in digital communication where she focused her research on website access, usability and social media crisis communication. She is fascinated by all things data and is a self-described analytics nerd who loves to help clients listen better and make data-informed decisions that maximize marketing budgets and efficiency.

When she's not at work, Tessa loves playing on the beach with her quirky rhodesian ridgeback, Ellie, and playing tennis with her husband Richard.
